Opis organizacji

The Jugendtreff Norden is a regional youth house which is located in Troisvierges in the north of the country of Luxembourg. The field of intervention is the canton "Clervaux" which embodies 5 different municipalities. Beside the youth house in Troisvierges (which may be considered as the motherhouse), there are also houses in Clervaux and Helzen. We also own a double-decker bus which is used as a mobile youth house.
The main target group of the youth house are youngsters from 12 to 26 years of age (regardless of nationalities, religions, etc).
Our aims are to encourage the development of knowledge, skills and competences of the youngsters and to stimulate their active participation.

Regular activities proposed by the youth house are:
- Support and coaching offers to help the youngster in his different transition periods of life (school, job, family, child- and adulthood...)
- Camps and activities lead by a theme which link education and fun
- Activities for fun such as sports and creative workshops
- The youth house has a equipped media unit (cameras, computers with editing programs, cinema room) and a equipped "music room" where bands can rehearse music songs. This allows us to create offers in these both fields.

The youth house belongs to the "Anne asbl" which is specialised in working with children, teenagers and young people from 4 to 30 years of age. Anne asbl offers services in multiple domains such as nursery, day care and after school care for young children and this in 18 different municipalities in Luxembourg. Anne asbl is managing 7 nurseries, 11 childcare centers, 2 youth houses and 1 boarding home. Besides, Anne asbl provides accommodation and professional support in edge cases, mostly when children or young people are exposed to distress or ill-treatment.

Anne asbl is a member of the group "elisabeth - am sozialen déngscht zu lëtzebuerg"
