description of organisation

Klitschko Foundation is a Ukrainian charitable organization which implements projects in the fields of education, sports, and active citizenship for children across the country.
In 2003 Vitali and Wladimir Klitschko founded the Charitable organization ‘Klitschko Brothers Foundation’. From the very beginning, the Foundation cooperated with Ukrainian universities to provide career advice for students, helped the victims of the flood in the Western Ukraine giving humanitarian aid, implemented projects for children to raise awareness about ecological problems. Since then in 2014, the Foundation rebranded to ‘Klitschko Foundation’ and it became a family foundation involving more than just Vitali and Wladimir but a new generation of the Klitschko Family. It has been successful in implementing projects in the field of education, sports, ecology and active citizenship.
As youth are the target audience Klitschko Foundation’s activities, mainly teens aged 14-16. The organisations mission is to create an environment that supports Ukrainian young people and provides them with opportunities for development. The motto of the Foundation is ‘Fight for your dream’ and believe that everything is possible. In pursuit of this, the Foundation designs and introduces social projects, locates additional finances for them and develop cooperative partnerships. The goal is to increase the number of Ukrainian young people who choose to pursue self-development, social activism and a healthy lifestyle.
The foundation seeks to set youth in Ukraine on the path to success and personal responsibility through sports and education. To date, the foundation has reached more than 1.8 million children and young adults in Ukraine as of 2019.
Also, in an effort to direct the Foundation in a more International direction, promote European ideology and volunteering - the organisation has already hosted a European Solidarity Corps volunteer as part of the 'Go East!' project.
