Delphi Association for Strategic Management (Delphi ASM) is a regional non-governmental action established on December 1, 1998, in the city of Burgas, Bulgaria. The main goals of the organization are: promoting citizens' initiative and dialogue between citizens and institutions (including: local, regional and national authorities); development and implementation of civic and non-formal education; participation in public policymaking; protection of human and civil rights, prevention of discrimination; strengthening civil society organizations and networks, and local and vulnerable communities; support for youth policies and activities; volunteering.
The main target groups of the organization are young people between the ages of 15 and 30, including young people with fewer opportunities, at risk of social exclusion (within the scope of the priorities for Inclusion and Diversity of the European Solidarity Corps program) youth and local informal communities and organizations, disadvantaged groups.
For a quarter of a century the organization has been actively working to achieve its goals by participating daily in public life in the formation and implementation of policies for the development of youth and society, implementing activities in support of its target groups, and providing them with the necessary assistance to develop and increase the key competencies of young people.
Since 2013, the organization has been applying European and international standards for volunteering, including the standards for admission of young people from all over Europe (EU and neighboring countries). The organization offers exceptional opportunities for active youth participation: engagement, connection, and empowerment of young people in the preparation and implementation of volunteer activities for solidarity support of local communities.
The main priorities of Delphi Association for Strategic Management until the end of the decade are in line with the goals and priorities of the EU and the European Solidarity Corps program, and the European Youth Strategy, including:
- engaging, connecting, and empowering young people in accessible and high-quality solidarity activities and, above all, volunteering; participation of young people in democratic life; inclusion and diversity (ensuring equal access to opportunities and involvement of young people in volunteering, including those with fewer opportunities); digital transformation; environmental protection, sustainable development and combating climate change (promoting green practices in organizational culture and in volunteering).
The organization promotes diversity by providing favorable opportunities for the inclusion of young people with fewer opportunities in its volunteering activities, regardless of their differences, including: barriers to discrimination based on sex, sexual orientation, ethnicity, religion, beliefs, etc.; barriers related to the education system (and NEETs); cultural, social, economic and geographical barriers. In this regard, the assoc provides individual support for the inclusion of young people with fewer opportunities in volunteering.
