Description of organisation

The Central Ostrobothnian Educational Consortium is a multi-disciplinary and actively developing educational organization providing secondary and vocational secondary education, preparatory education, apprenticeship and folk high school education. The Training Consortium is also an active developer of the region and its livelihoods, working in partnership with the region's municipalities, industry and other education and development actors. KPEDU is working in five different locations - Kokkola, Kälviä, Kannus, Kaustinen and Perho. KPEDU offers vocational education in Central Ostrobothia area in Finland. Kpedu has about 3500 annual students and amount of staff is 440. Supply of education is comprehensive and covers every sector needed in our area and working life: Technology and transport, Farming, Forestry, Nature, Culture, Physical education, Audiovisual communication, ICT, Leisure activities and youth work, Healthcare, Beauty care, Business, Retail, Administration, ,Tourism and catering and Safety.

Kpedu has over 150 international partners in several countries in Europe and also in global level. Kpedu has taken part in several international mobility and development projects during last decades. At the moment we have many own Erasmus+ (KA1/KA2) projects running and we are also partners for several others. Within ESC we want to improve our Int@Home. We have participated EVS program with very nice experiences and we want to carry on that great international collaboration possibility in the future also; improving solidarity!
