Description of organisation

european playwork association (e.p.a.) - started by European volunteers in 1978 - is an independent international Youth NGO and active within a network of partners in over 40 countries over four continents.
We coordinate and organise international youth exchanges, training courses, seminars, study visits, internship - all within the priorities of participation, citizenship, democracy, human rights, Inclusion and youth empowerment, respecting and celebrating people´s diversity.

e.p.a. works especially with young people with fewer opportunities from disadvantaged communities, creating access to non-formal learning and supporting European youth projects. Our partners are youth initiatives, youth and communities centres, adventure playground, orphanages and human/children rights and citizens associations.

e.p.a. is based in Hamburg and as a EURODESK partner for the region, provides, through its concomitant "Europa JUGEND Büro", youth information and dissemination services, giving advice to youth groups and schools in the Hamburg region on European and world wide mobility opportunities and European youth policy.

The e.p.a. logo is a rainbow - incorporated into all e.p.a. activities in beautiful ways as a sign of hope and of the differences that complete each other in their diversity.

european playwork association (e.p.a.) – 1978 auf Initiative von europäischen Freiwilligen gegründet – ist eine unabhängige internationale Jugend-NGO, die aktiv ist in einem Netzwerk von Partnern in über 40 Ländern, auf vier Kontinenten.

Wir koordinieren und organisieren internationale Jugendbegegnungen, internationale Seminare, Studienbesuche und Praktika - alle mit Fokus auf die Themen Partizipation, Bürgerschaft, Demokratie, Menschenrechte, Inklusion und empowerment für junge Menschen, und stets mit Respekt und Achtung vor der Vielfalt aller Menschen.

e.p.a. arbeitet insbesondere mit jungen Menschen mit geringeren Chancen aus benachteiligten Gegenden, schafft Zugang zu nichtformalem Lernen und unterstützt europäische Jugendprojekte. Unsere Partner sind Jugendinitiativen, Jugend- und Gemeindezentren, Abenteuerspielplätze, Waisenhäuser sowie Verbände und Organisationen für Menschen- und Kinderrechte.

e.p.a. hat seinen Hauptsitz in Hamburg und bietet als EURODESK-Partner für die Region über sein "Europa JUGEND Büro" Informationen für Jugendliche zu europäischen und weltweiten Mobilitätsmöglichkeiten sowie zu europäischer Jugendpolitik.

Das Logo von e.p.a. ist der Regenbogen – er taucht auf bei all unseren Aktivitäten als Zeichen der Hoffnung und der Unterschiede, die sich in ihrer Vielfalt auf schönste Weise ergänzen.
