Vastseliina Youth Center is a place that is located in the South-East part of Estonia near the Russian and Latvian borders. Distance from city centers is 285 km from Tallinn, 24 km from Võru, 75 km from Pskov, 250 km from Riga. The age group that visits the youth center the most is 10-16 year olds. The youth workers try to create different opportunities for the youngsters starting with consultations, projects, gatherings and ending with possibilities of creating a job for themselves. Several regional and provincial projects, have received a boost at our cozy house with room for every young person who shows interest about our youth center and its variety of activities. Vastseliina may be a small community but the place is surrounded by colorful history and multicultural background and people. Vastseliina Youth Center is honored to be the only indoor stunt bike park in Võru county in addition to skatepark where two times a week children teach each other new tricks, there is also a gym which is used by all hobby groups like football players, aerobic groups, archery etc., a kitchen, a room to play virtual games, billiards, air hockey, table football and table tennis.Young people who visit the center have thought of even the smallest ones and their dreams ,which resulted in writing a "Pick Up" project to finalize a playroom for babies and preschoolers, where the activities are carried out by young local volunteers. Vastseliina Youth Center has 3 workers, a manager, youth worker and cleaner, who sometimes also helps to look after youngsters in youth center.The Center is opened five days a week, Monday to Friday 1 pm until 7.30 pm and occassionally on Saturdays or Sundays from 12.30-18.30. Youth Center is located right next to the school and thanks to its location there is from 40 to 60 young people a day who visit the establishment.All the activities are free for the youngsters, because Vastseliina Youth Center is financed by Võru municipality and from different projects.
