Description de l'organisation

Kuldiga Main Library is dynamic, cultural center for information, knowledge and communication. Library is providing local society with the most important information, information literacy education and leisure interests for children and youth, adults and seniors. The aim of the organization is to provide everyone with unlimited information and good literature. Kuldiga Main library besides its main services, also serves as non-formal education center for all age groups. Daily work for the staff of the library is to communicate with clients and helping out with various issues ranging from finding books, printing jobs to information searches in books and the Internet. Also, reading promotion events and other activities among children and adults are very important. The library has three main sections for visitors: the Children and Youth Literature Center, the Reference and Counseling Center and the Department of Local Studies. Kuldiga Main library is responsible for managing smaller parish libraries. In order to become more open-minded and more suitable place for modern day children, youth and adults, library is looking forward to work with international program as ERASMUS+.
