Via Brachy is a French non-profit organization founded in 1998. Since it’s beginning we aim at empowering people, enhancing social and ecological projects run by citizens and at fostering cultural dialogue between persons and organizations from different backgrounds and cultures.

We organize international mobility projects and non-formal educational activities to foster social inclusion and to help citizens find their way in society. We believe that traveling opens people’s minds to new realities and encourages them to share ideas, knowledge and experiences. We promote eco-friendly living and advocate for social change.
Main activities :
We organize youth exchanges, training courses and journeys as catalysts for people’s empowerment and social change in France, Europe and Senegal ;
We send and support European Solidarity Corps volunteers in their mission;
We offer specialized courses on social innovation, active citizenship, intercultural dialogue, sustainable development, etc. and we support social entrepreneurs who act at both local and international levels;
We support our partners’ initiatives in Senegal through income-generating activities;
We organize public events on social issues and we encourage the production of educational content in order to inspire people and promote alternative ways of living.


Main target group :
All of our projects are open to any person above 18 years old, with a special attention to young adults between 18-35 years old. We could say that most of the persons participating in our projects have in common the will to actively take part in society but don’t know exactly how to take action. They come to Via Brachy to discover different ways of living together, working together and through this journey they also discover themselves and what kind of commitment they want to take in order to contribute to a better society.
Our beneficiaries can be categorized as follow :
- young people (18-30 years old) and in particular young people with fewer opportunities;
- young project leaders in the field of social and solidarity economy, ecology and non formal education;
- youth workers and educators ;
- social and solidarity economy organizations (NGO’s, cooperatives, social enterprises);
- adults in vocational retraining.
