Description of organisation

Tampere is the third largest city in Finland and the largest inland centre in the Nordic countries. Currently there are 241 672 (31.3.2021) inhabitants in Tampere, and close to half million inhabitantsin Tampere region, which comprises Tampere and its neighbouring municipalities. Municipal youth work is based on the law of the youth work.The target is creating favourable living standards for young people, positive preconditions for the young people civil activities and developing their intellectual growth and abilities. Youth work is mainly done by a municipal youth office and by different organisations. Our main target group is youngsters between 13-17 years old.
