Centrul de Voluntariat Saschiz (CEVOS) - The Volunteer Center of Saschiz, is a brand new association registered officially in 2018. The association was created by the desire of a group of 4 local youngsters who were taking part in the last years in different youth exchanges and training courses financed by Erasmus + program and developed in Greece, Poland and Spain and also as support in different local activities developed by the EVS volunteers hosted in the area by other ngos. The group of youngsters and their local leader Florentina Calugar expressed their desires to continue and to develop this kind of projects in the future in their local community Saschiz as local volunteers and ask Alexandra Negrei and Florentina Marcus for their professional support and representation. Alexandra Negrei, Florentina Marcus and Florentina Calugar as founder members of this new association have a lot of experience in creating and implementing Youth in Action, Erasmus + and other European grant funds projects but their experiences will be detailed in the next paragraphs.

The main idea of this new association was to build a local official frame for all the non-formal educational activities that are already taking place in Saschiz and the surrounding villages having as main target group children and youngsters, but also several activities for the young adult and old people depending on the future needs identified in the community. The association will be the channel trough which the young people will be able to get involve actively in different activities to develop their community and to bring positive changes in their own personal development. In general, our association is focusing in bringing solution for the educational challenges with which the community is fighting.

As a solidar example, CEVOS already received from the local government the promise of a nice and spacious building where we will create our office and arrange the space for work-shops and other educational non-formal activities mentioned above. Due to the fact that we are a brand new association we will need for sure the help and the support of volunteers, local and international. We are sure that like this we will be able to grow, to extend and to create a useful environment in this little community of Saschiz and we will be able to offer to the young generation great opportunities to get involve and become active citizens, to discover their competences and to rediscover the importance of their involvement in the social local life. In Saschiz in this moment, as in Europe in general, the gap between the young people with superior studies and those who doesn't have this possibilities is really high, so trough our activities we will try to decrease this.

CEVOS will be the host for different kind of workshops and activities dedicated to the young people free time and will be the main promoter of volunteering in Saschiz and its surroundings. Some examples of activities which will be developed are:
Thematic workshops and different language workshops
Cultural and leisure activities
Summer camps and team games
Intercultural and thematic evenings and events
Personal development courses
Non-formal education training
By this activities we intend to help the participants to discover new things about themselves in order to find effective ways to communicate with people around and acquire various skills necessary for the labor market and also open their minds towards the solidar activities that they can develop in their local community. Withe our logo "Actions speak louder than words" we are sure that CEVOS will become a good example to follow.

Our vision for the future is to get in contact with as many as possible foreign youth associations and volunteers and to receive from them the support in building a growing strategy, and with as many as possible local private company to receive financial support for being able to cover our planned activities "Making a donation is the ultimate sign of solidarity". The opportunity to work with volunteers will be an extra point and fantastic support for the management team and for the local partners which will be described below.
