Descripción de la organización:

Fundación A LA PAR (Carmen Pardo-Valcarce) is a non profit organization based in Madrid founded in 1948, registered as a National Foundation.
Since then, there have been several changes, but we have always been focused on the integration and support of people with more needs.
Currently we are an organization that works for the rights and participation of people with intellectual disabilities in our society. A La Par’s main objectives are to promote the rights of people with disabilities, to empower them and to integrate them in the society.
We do it from the perspective of social integration, we think work plays a vital role in increasing independence, self-esteem and social life to people with different abilities.
A very important aspect of our work is to cooperate with other partners to increase the job opportunities. To achive the aim of the integration, we offer the following services:
- Training. There is a educational center where we deliver formal education for people from 12 to 16 years old; and profesional courses from 16 to 21 years old. While net job creation is the single most important remedy, education and training system design can also be a strong driver of successful
integration.
- Employment. We manage an ocupational center, generating bussines opportunities and producing products to sell in malls and markets.
- Leisure activities and residence.
- Support for people with intellectual disabilities.
