Association for Social Integration and Environmental Protection “Feed-Back” Braşov (shortly, APIS PM “Feed-Back”) is a Romanian non-governmental, non-profit and apolitical organization, founded in 2004 and located in Brașov City, working both for the social reintegration of disadvantaged people and for the environment protection.
One of our principal goals was to organize a strong local volunteer structure in order: to help socially disadvantaged persons, to be involved in environmental protection, to contribute at the sustainable development of civil society and to raise the active participation of youngsters in community life. Following this direction, our association has founded in the year 2008 - Braşov Volunteer Centre, www.voluntarbrasov.ro, a platform where more than 500 people have enlisted, in order to change for the better the community they are living in. The Volunteer Centre is a bridge between volunteers and other NGOs from Brasov.
Our target group is most represented by young people but we involve in our volunteering activities adults and seniors because we believe in generations exchanges.
Since 2010 our volunteers took part at activities and projects implemented at international, national and local levels. We encourage volunteers to developed their own projects and activities, by offering them logistic/administrative support and giving feedback on activities/projects developed.
Starting with 2009, our association is part of VOLUM Federation – The Federation of Organizations Supporting the Development of Volunteering in Romania, the umbrella organization for Romanian NGOs that are working with volunteers. We are having a strong collaboration with Brașov County Department for Sports and Youth, which works at county level and ensures the implementation of strategy and government policy in sports and youth field. We are active in the Youth Center organizing different activities for the community as tennis table, graphic facilitation, video animation workshops and workshops with different topics as personal development, communication, foreign languages.
We aimed to bring more activities in the Youth Center by connection other NGOs inviting them to use the generous space from the Youth Center and we encourage the local NGOs to offer different workshops in community.
