Description of organisation

The main aim of the Cedid Association is to increase tolerance in all parts of society, especially young people, beside that to break down prejudices among different cultures, to develop an awareness of Europeanism in society, to increase youth entrepreneurship and employment. The members and volunteers of the Association consist of young people living in Siirt who are conscious of social responsibility and want to create awareness at the local level. Cedid' s main target groups are children and young people aged 18-30. In order to achieve these goals, Cedid implements projects that include various social activities through the Erasmus + program and public programs. Although Cedid members were involved in many mobility projects where they gained experience and project experience through Erasmus + projects, they had not experienced a mobility project in our city before..Erasmus + KA105 project, named we meet in chess for tolerance was organized by Cedid, was the first project held on in the province of Siirt on April 10-16, 2019. The fact that many of the young people in Siirt communicated face-to-face with their foreign-speaking peers for the first time has developed a different perspective on young people. Through this communication, changes in prejudices and tolerance increased.
