We are the professional high school Jacques Le Caron Arras establishment campus support trades and qualifications of Buildings and Smart Energy Systems 3.0. We train 600 students per year in initial training in all areas of the building (electricity, thermal, tiles, masonry, stone cutting, tiles, painting, plastering, roofing, design office, intervention on built heritage, carpentry ...) , more than 200 apprentice students in our CFA and nearly 100 adults in continuous training in our GRETA. The courses range from the 3rd year to the BTS through the CAP, professional baccalaureate, the honors and the BP.

The high school of building and sustainable energy Jacques le Caron welcomes:
- an immersion class: IME
- newcomers (allophone students)
- an EYI (Youth Employment Initiatives)
- an architecture preparation class open to all students of the academy
- a Greta development agency
- a device in ULIS
- an MLDS (Mission to fight against school dropout)
- a partnership with the CEJS (Center Jeunes Deaf)
The public is of a wide social mix. It has about 178 fellows. We work in partnership with the city of Arras and the Urban Community of Arras in the areas of sustainable development and energy transition, culture, youth integration. Through this partnership, the LP Jacques le Caron is a dynamic player for its quartiermais also for the city and the CUA.

As part of the school project, the high school has undertaken for some years international projects and especially European and various projects around sustainable development.
Extract of the project of establishment:

3.1 Promoting, in the framework of the E3D label, sustainable development by following the evolution of the building trades / Training pupils to students in ecological gestures and citizens:
- Develop the label "Ready for 2020"
- Better organize waste sorting in the workshop (by dedicated and marked containers); train and empower students in this sorting
- Involve students in rainwater harvesting sites (underground tanks, installation of desuppressors, distribution network in workshops, maintenance of filters)
3.2 Pair the establishment with another European School High School.
- Creating a lasting partnership and twinning with a European school
- Discover an educational system and a different professional education (eg: diversity in the heart of the system)
- Become familiar with a European culture
- Meet and promote international experiences
- To discover its culture and heritage
- Explain the practices and tools at the service of learning in his country
- Offer exchanges related to "long-term intercultural stay in France or abroad" in order to foster dialogue with other young people from all backgrounds and all professional fields
- Promote and facilitate the implementation of the PIMEN cooperation system
- Propose, explain and promote PFMPs abroad
- Discover new techniques related to the building trades
- Create and consolidate professional contacts abroad

Referents are appointed by the Headmaster to develop projects around various major themes such as culture, international, sustainable development, health, ... .etc

  • This organisation holds a European Solidarity Corps Quality Label. The Quality Label certifies that the organisation is able to run projects in compliance with the principles and objectives of the European Solidarity Corps.
