The Social Entrepreneurship Association of Latvia (SEAL) is a member organization to promote the development of social entrepreneurship in Latvia. SEAL was founded in autumn 2015 and continues to be the main umbrella organisation that unites more than 120 members - social enterprises, individuals, NGOs and social entrepreneurship support organisations in all regions of Latvia.

The association operates in three main directions: advocacy of interests at local, regional and national levels, improvement of the capacity of members, development of the experience and knowledge sharing platform and informing society about social entrepreneurship.

The SEAL focuses its attention on social entrepreneurship opportunities at the Latvian level, as well as participate in the development of a social entrepreneurship support program. We also work with other regional and national decision-makers and policy-makers to create a supportive environment for social entrepreneurship in Latvia. Our cooperation network include ministries, municipalities, entrepreneurship support organisations, local, regional and national stakeholders from business, NGO, media and regional thought leaders.
In various ways, we help our members to better achieve their goals by providing joint activities, workshops, fast and effective information exchange, up-to-date information on finance and cooperation opportunities, and counseling support, also introducing with useful partners.
The SEAL organises and takes part in various types and formats of events to inform the wider community about the opportunities offered by social entrepreneurship. We have created a network of social entrepreneurship ambassadors in the regions of Latvia, which unites approximately 40 community leaders in all regions of Latvia that are interested in the development of social entrepreneurship in their local context. We regularly participate in the events organized by our ambassadors in the regions throughout Latvia. Every year we organize the industry’s largest and most ambitious event – the Social Entrepreneurship Forum.
