Description of organisation

Kindergarten „Azuoliukas“ is a provider of pre-kindergarten and kindergarten education. The goal of kindergarten is to provide quality education.
The main goals are:
- To improve the quality of services by looking for a variety in education methods and by involving parents.
- To create and update educational environment in the kindergarten.
- To improve teachers‘ professional competences by improving their partnership and leadership skills.
- To improve teachers‘ teamwork for working with special needs children.
Kindergarten „Azuoliukas “ was established in 1971. There are13 groups. The institution has 246 pupils and 21 teachers. Kindergarten has safe and healthy environment and kindergarten groups are supplied with educational and visual tools and instruments. The kindergarten offers a variety of activities: dancing activities, arts.
The priorities are:
- Quality and innovative education.
- Lifelong Learning.
- Teamwork.
- A culture of dialogue and agreements.
- A personal responsibility.

Since 2019, the kindergarten is a part of the STEAM education provider. Since 2015 the kindergarten is a center for international programme „Kimochis“.
The kindergarten encourages parents to volunteer, thus to develop communal partnerships and to supplement the curriculum.
The kindergarten is very interested in international volunteers to get to know different cultures and to create an opportunity for our kids to learn from other young people. Also the social landscape of other countries, especially how the youth work is organized, would be very interesting for the kindergarten.
