PRODER is a non-governmental organization established in a beautiful city in the middle of Turkey, Eskişehir. Our most important action is preparing and implementing of many projects. All of these projects are born as a way to observe and analyse some relevant topics which may concern everyone in modern life, such as Disability, European Citizenship, Health, Intercultural Dialogue, Leadership, Media and Communication, Solidarity, Sport and Youth Policy. Our main goal, when developing a new project, is to help spreading the voice and ideas of young people. All the participants in our projects come from anywhere in the world and they are the main actors in all the possible activities. Our role, as an organization, is to become a channel all these voices and to make them heard on both national and international level. As we mentioned, our organization works by preparing new projects, by building a network with the international environment and by integrating youths from different parts of the world. Our main work focuses on enabling young people to seize opportunities; consequently, young people will embark on a journey towards self-awareness: they will have the possibility to learn more about themselves, about their skills and possibilities. This, of course, will give them a chance to develop their abilities and learn new things, leading them to a better consciousness about themselves and other people and possibly helping the growth of an higher self-esteem.
Our aims:
- To provide easy opportunities for young people to participate in solidarity activities in the event of positive social change, with the support of participating organizations,
-Develop the personal, educational, social, civil, designing and working development skills and competencies of young people,
- To support the mobility of young volunteers, trainees and workers,
-To facilitate young people's active citizenship, employability and transition to the labor market,
- To ensure that young people respect the principles of the European Solidarity Corps;
- To encourage social inclusion and equal opportunities for young people,
- Make special efforts for the participation of young people with fewer opportunities (through a number of special protections such as appropriate solidarity activities and personalized support);
- Contributing to European cooperation with young people and raising awareness of its positive effects.
Our target groups:
-Young people facing difficulties such as disability, educational difficulties, economic obstacles, cultural differences, health problems, social obstacles, geographical obstacles,
-NEETs (i.e. young people not in employment, education or training),
-Young people with fewer opportunities and combat social exclusion,
-Young people who want to contribute for the disadvantaged parts of their communities by making projects, want to create added value by making solidarity effective among young people, have previously worked in volunteer organizations or want to take part, want to raise awareness in the fields: nature, sports, solidarity, active citizenship, disability, health, intercultural dialogue, etc.
Our regular activities:
• To assist and collaborate for public institutions and NGOs who are volunteering to conduct projects and provide regional cooperation so as to benefit from European and national funds which foster the social and financial development,
• To conduct dissemination activities about European Union full membership process and European programmes to create awareness more effectively,
• To share the knowledge and experience gained by participating in trainings and workshops on the planning and management procedures of the projects with other organizations eager to work on the projects and to introduce all appropriate programs announced by the EU to these organizations. PRODER provides technical assistance to these institutions and organizations, helps them find partners in projects and participate in existing projects together,
