The Youth Center of Creative Works MOPT in Dąbrowa Górnicza is an extracurricular educational institution classified as a public educational institution. It meets the needs of pre-school children and school-age children and young people. MOPT's activities are extensive, the basic ones are: developing children's and young people's talents, deepening their knowledge by informal methods and helping them to acquire artistic, scientific and sporting skills, as well as developing personal attitudes in line with European values.
The mission of MOPT is: Acting to educate; Educate to inspire; Inspire to create; Create to live; Living to full life.
As an extracurricular education institution, MOPT plays an extremely important role in its local environment. Its culture-creative, integrative, initiating character creates an opportunity for children and young people to discover and develop their interests, passions, talents, the possibility of realizing themselves, fulfilling dreams and desires. The variety and richness of educational proposals complement and support the activities of schools, cooperating with them in the implementation of various educational forms (cultural, sports and events of such character).
MOPT is an agreement between pupils, parents and teachers who together care for the development of the young generation of Polish people, and thus for the successful future of our country and united Europe.

The tasks of the MOPT Extracurricular Education Centre include:
1. Developing individual interests and talents through:
- Creating conditions for the development of individual abilities;
- shaping the need for cultural activity of young people;
- shaping the need for creativity;
- animation - infecting with the passion to acquire knowledge and skills - consistent with the direction of interests, adequate to the talents;
- developing the talents of young pupils;

2. Developing the personality attitudes of the pupils through:
- Working in a group, with the group and for the group and the whole environment;
- social engagement;
- forming responsibility for oneself and others, tolerance;
- teaching the principles of justice and responsibility;
- teaching self acceptance and making the right choices;
- teaching a healthy and hygienic lifestyle, free from addictions;
- creating a friendly and helpful atmosphere;
- awakening a caring attitude towards those in need;

The above mentioned tasks are to be implemented through concrete actions:
- permanent and occasional activities (in groups) with an individual aspect
- the approach to every pupil;
- open (mass) events and internal events for participants;
- organized concerts, competitions, exhibitions, meetings with authors;
- organised festivals and fairs;
- co-organised festivals, reviews organised by other educational institutions or cultural institutions;
- cooperation with organisations and institutions supporting the development and education of the child

The MOPT facility is bustling with life, especially in the afternoon. It is located at 3 Maja 30 Street in Dąbrowa Górnicza. Inside the building there are many studios where workshops, circles and artistic activities take place:
(art, music, instrumental, movement and dance, theatre, folklore) as well as scientific activities (language, IT, literary, journalistic, ecological)
