Sinneswandel gGmbH stands for barrier-free communication. We encourage the use of sign languages and the emergence of social networks inside and outside the deaf community. Our philosophy is based on the respectful and creative handling of differences and diversity. We support deaf and hearing-impaired people in exercising their rights and provide educational and awareness-raising work.The name “Sinneswandel” (Change of Sense/Mind) stands for processes of change in society that enable people with and without disabilities to participate equally. As
a social service provider, we are active in a variety of areas for deaf and hearing-impaired people; both specialized and individual as well as in an inclusive setting. For us, the common early childhood education and upbringing of deaf, hearing-impaired and hearing children with sign language is an important basis for equal opportunities and openness in society.
We pursue these goals in all our areas of child and youth work. As part of the integration assistance, we offer needs-based support and assistance for deaf and hearing-impaired people with additional disabilities. Most of our specialists are hearing-impaired or deaf themselves and, together with their hearing colleagues, ensure
the quality of our services. We employ around 200 people from very different backgrounds. As an organization, we are characterized by transparent and lively structures that are continuously
adapted to the needs of the people within Sinneswandel gGmbH - both for those who hire us and for our employees.
