Beskrivelse av organisasjon

Rapatac is a concept that give children good conditions for a meaningful upbringing by offering them help with school work, the opportunity for stimulating leisure activities and to develop their ability to take responsibility for their actions. An important part is that the children and young people are surrounded by adults who are good role models and emphasize the importance of each individual in an active community to strengthen the belief in their individual abilities. Rapatac started when the founder of the organization noticed that many children from socio-economically disadvantaged areas did not come to their right in school. He saw children who lost their knowledge development. Children he met did not understand why the school existed, in parallel to the parents not understanding the child's problems. Too often the truth was unclear and too few adults dared to challenge the difficulties that existed. But the children did not lack ambitions, and not Rapatac's founder either - with a strong conviction that everyone has the ability to take control and influence their situation - Rapatac developed. Rapatac strives to ensure that all children participating in Rapatac's activities reach the school's knowledge requirements and have an enriching and inspiring leisure time throughout their upbringing. Rapatac works, based on the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, with a humanistic value base where everyone has the same rights, obligations and opportunities.
