Description of organisation

Servitus is a non-governmental, non-profit organization created by representatives of Christian churches and Jewish communities in the Czech Republic for the purpose of developing voluntary service. Founded in 2003, the company works closely with the reputable non-profit German organization Aktion Sühnezeichen Friedensdienste (Action Reconciliation and Peace Service, ASF), which deals in Germany and abroad with reconciliation, lessons from the past and other topics such as nationalism and totalitarianism. ASF supports disadvantaged groups, organizes long-term voluntary services and summer camps with social, political and historical topics. Servitus is a partner organization of ASF in the Czech Republic. In cooperation with ASF, Servitus places foreign volunteers in projects in the Czech Republic and supports Czech volunteers to apply in projects of partner organizations of ASF abroad.
