Toros University was established in 2009 by the Mersin Education Foundation (MEF) in accordance with Law No. 5913. Toros University is a higher education institution devoted to education, research and community service. To raise young people, who are the target group of Toros University, who will be the workforce of the future, and to equip them with a learning brain and questioning thinking skills; to make them sensitive to local and global problems; to provide them with international standards and to contribute to scientific, technological and cultural inventions; and aims to raise them as strong supporters of contemporary and universal values and ethical values. During the European Union process, Toros University aims to contribute to the cultural, personal and academic development of young people with the opportunities offered in the fields of education, culture, sports and arts, and to produce new projects with European Union funding.
