Nibble Stiftelsen was founded in 1965 and manages a number of different operations and activities based on Nibble Farm in Ytterjärna. Its work and activities are primarily around being a "Training centre focusing on young people and green professions". All operations are based on Nibble Farm, Swedens oldest organic farm with appr 200 hectares of fields and forest focused on milk, grains and eggs situated in a beautiful landscape on the banks of the Baltic. Other activities include: Nibble Handelsträdgård, a market garden with three hectares of fields as well as green house and shop. -Virbela a consulting and production company focused on issues relating to water. -Nibble Såg is a small scale saw mill for forestry products and Traditionskraft AB who work in the area of “cultural building” with a focus on traditional materials and techniques. All these activities form the framework within which Nibble runs Järna Naturbruksgymnasium (www.jarnanaturbruksgymnasium.se) a high school for students between 16 and 19 years of age with a program focused on training for green professions such as farming, gardening, animal husbandry and forestry with a focus is on small and medium-sized diversified farming and gardening operations. The school offers a dual program with vocational training as well as basic academic preparation. An important part of the school is the boarding school. The school staff is international, with 7 countries represented.
