Descripción de la organización:

Lääne-Harju Huvikeskus is a public youth organisation located in the north-western part of Estonia. It is owned and managed by Lääne-Harju local government. The organisation coordinates the work of seven youth centres (Paldiski, Vasalemma, Ämari, Rummu, Padise, Klooga, Laulasmaa) based in different villages/towns in the local municipality. It is an extremely large municipality which was formed as a result of a merge of four municipalities in 2017. All young people aged 7-26 can visit the youth centres and are welcome to join the activities organised by our permanent staff or initiate their own projects. Our youth workers are trained to provide support and guidance.
Our core values are inclusion, cultural diversity and promotion of non-formal education.
The main objectives of Lääne-Harju Huvikeskus are:
1. developing, coordinating and promoting leisure activities for youth people of different interests and age groups;
2. organising youth work in general, including mobile youth work;
3. creating possibilities for free self-expression and creativity;
4. supporting young people to show initiative;
5. empowering young people to participate in work camps thus developing working culture and promoting employability.
The organisation has participated in various domestic projects and is currently developing several international ones. We value life-long learning and continuous development to reach our full potential.
