R2AS (Réseau Rhône Ain Saône - Union Territoriale des MJC MPT) is an association under the French Law of 1901 based in Lyon, France.
R2AS is the head of the network of Maisons des Jeunes et de la Culture in the Rhône (Metropole Lyonnaise and Nouveau Rhône), Ain and Saône departments. R2AS has 45 affiliated associations.
The 45 member structures of the network all have the following objectives
- to promote the autonomy and fulfilment of people,
- to give everyone access to education and culture,
- to run places of experimentation and social innovation,
- to be open to all, without discrimination,
- to be respectful of personal convictions,
- not to be linked to any party, political movement, trade union or religion,
- respect the pluralism of ideas and the principles of secularism,
R2AS is managed by a Board of Directors made up of volunteer administrators from affiliated associations. The main mission of R2AS is to support and represent its affiliated associations and, on a wider scale, to participate through a popular education project in the construction of a more just and inclusive society. Deploying the ESC is one of the levers that R2AS wants to put at the disposal of its member MJCs in order to strengthen their actions of social transformation through openness to others and the strengthening of the European ideal.
