Aarde-Werk ‘De Stegge’ Social Enterprise (SE)
The farm ‘De Stegge’ is located in the rural hamlet of Kotten just outside Winterswijk, in the Netherlands. The founders, Gea Boessenkool and Jan-Willem van de Velde have, since 2008, transformed this traditional farmland with cornfield and a meadow for sheep, in two hectares of rich and biodiverse land. The farm consists now of a small forest, meadows, orchard, wetland features and an organic vegetable garden, with many secluded spots to withdraw, sit, relax and connect. The main aim of the organisation is to educate and inspire visitors and volunteers to live in a more sustainable and selfreliant way and that it is possible to realise this, even on a small piece of land in The Netherlands.

We hebben besloten de lopende contacten via Stichting Aarde-Werk de Stegge om te zetten in directe contacten via de Social Enterprise (SE), die ook de naam Aarde-Werk de Stegge heeft. Dit scheelt ons veel extra administratie en maakt voor de praktische uitvoering niet veel uit, omdat het meeste werk toch altijd al door de SE werd gedaan. De contacten van de Stichting met de sending organisaties wordt straks door de SE voortgezet en overgedragen. We werken eraan de contacten met de sending organisaties te intensiveren, zoals boven omschreven.
