Description de l'organisation
Feros vzw offers workshops and residential trainings around emotional resilience, inclusivity and sustainable organising. We work with individuals and groups working towards social and ecological justice and offer both bespoke trainings for existing groups as well as open trainings. Reflecting the multilingual reality of the Belgian socio-cultural sector we offer our work in Dutch, French and English.
Our facilitation is based in experiential learning and combines methods that engage participants on the level of heart (emotions), head (thinking and concepts) and hands (practical experience / embodiment). We bring a non-hierchical approach to learning and we approach group dynamics through the lens of queer intersectional feminism. We aim to create a group culture of collective care, where active listening and accountability bring a greater sense of safety and inclusivity.
We regularly organise trainings for a more specific target group, for example trainings that are only accessible to lgbtqia+ participants or participants coming from a working class background.
We strive as much as possible to honour our values in the practical ways that we organise our work. This is reflected for example in our practice of a solidarity economy (give what you can, take what you need) and our cooperation with Welenhoeck vzw, a young permaculture community project, who source part of the food for our trainings.
