Lycée Pixérécourt is a Public Agricultural School located in the department of Meurthe-et-Moselles closed to Luxemburg.
The school is focused on Agriculture, Food Science and Environment in the Regional Education
Authority of Nancy-Metz Academy. It hosts and trains over 420 students.
The School has already set up several international projects with Germany, Luxemburg, Belgium, but also with Romania(Erasmus +), Mauritania (GESCOD remote project with the Lycée of Terwen). Another sporting-exchange project once every two years in Ireland.
The agricultural school of Pixérécourt provides general, technical and professional trainings such as :
- Professional Baccalaureate in Nature Conservation.
- Technical baccalaureate in Agriculture , and one in Environment and landscape management,
- General A-levels specialised in Maths, Physics and biology,
- and three two-year higher technical degree specialized in Nature Conservation and Recreation, in Food Science and one in Animal husbandry.
Our students are from 15 to 20 years old and many come from rural areas. There is a real and strong wish to make students and teachers facing foreign languages first to fit to the 5th mission of Agricultural Education which is International Cooperation. We also enhance foreign-language projects(and internships abroad). Moreover, the agricultural school project highlights the fact that it is in favour of this International Cooperation mission which is a state mission, as a whole.
