Ithaka is an organization for people with a disability. We coach people to participate and to contribute to society. We do that in different domains of life: work, leisure time, living,...Supported Employment is very important. We start from the dream and then search for an answer. We tap into the talents of people.
Ithaka aims to coach adults, aged 18 and over with disabilities, in their questions regarding their job(s), living situation, daytime activities, self-development and leisure activities. We are rolling out activities in these domains.
Ithaka wants to answer questions from people with a (suspected) disability from the wider Ostend region and wants to coach them to not only participate but also to contribute to society.
We will look for solutions together, as inclusively as possible. We start from a positive view of humanity.
We are committed to creating a positive climate with the Ithaka coaching center in which growth is possible and allowed. We put people first and start from talents.
We work demand-driven, creative and flexible. All this with sufficient attention to connection. Ultimately, we want to bring movement to the domains of quality of life.
We also see Ithaka as a movement in motion, broader than just the coaching center.
Ithaka coaches 95 clients & their context where necessary. The organization employs 25 employees, including part-time and full-time assignments. The majority have a social - pedagogical diploma.
