Description of organisation

Our school, with an over 100-year tradition, aims to provide students with multi-faceted, comprehensive education. We focus on educating our students, aged 15-18, in the spirit of patriotism, motivation for knowledge and good interhuman relations along with respect for other cultures, views or life attitudes. So far, besides formal teaching, we have been organising a lot of charity, cultural, language, integrational, historical, ecological, acting and musical events. This year we have also started a tourist club. By such actions we try to promote among our students attitudes full of empathy, respect, self-confidence, open-mindedness and tolerance towards others. Our goal is to equip our youth with comprehensive and up-to-date knowledge suited to the fast changing, challenging and globalised world. We teach students in classes of different curricula with focus on languages, geography, sciences and humanities. In all of these, our students definitely need to experience school environment which will not only present them with profound technical or specialised subject knowledge but that will also serve as a model of real-life situations and thus expose them to multiculturalism, peaceful international co-existence or different mindsets.
