Description of organisation

The association "Bochumer Bildungszentrum e.V." (BBZ) is a migrant self-organization (MSO). It was founded in 1998 by an
association of second-generation immigrant parents and has since pursued goals that are exclusively charitable. Since then,
it has been active in supporting children, young people and adults of all ages, ethnicities and nationalities, particularly in the
areas of education and upbringing.
According to our philosophy, education (vocational training as well as social, cultural adult and youth education) is an
essential basis for social cohesion, prosperity and international understanding. The association sees an essential task in the
commitment to integration, also in cultural and social development. For the BBZ, socio-educational work is an investment in
a better future for families, children and young people.
Education and fostering are regarded as core responsibilities of the association, alongside cultural and social advancement.
Prisma actively backs a range of social initiatives, including holiday programs, language courses, and projects for children
and teenagers. It continually introduces fresh avenues for students and members, particularly those facing challenges, to
participate and grow socially. The BBZ promotes unity, acceptance, respect, and tolerance for all.
