Description of organisation

As Local Development Association, we carry out activities that will increase the skills of disadvantaged groups in Şanlıurfa, especially young people, to ensure their participation in social life, improve their self-confidence and expand their vision. We want these young people to feel the presence of the outside world and to show that life does not only consist of the local world and that there are people with different languages, religions, and races in the world. As an association, we want to touch the worlds of these people who have not seen any city or country outside Şanlıurfa and open them to the outside world, meet new people in tolerance and develop their visions and future expectations. We want to show the richness of human rights, universal law, and democracy to these people by teaching the norms of the European Union. As an association, we collaborate and prepare projects for these young people at the national and international levels to increase their personal and professional skills. We also carry out projects to ensure the social cohesion of thousands of Syrian refugees residing in Şanlıurfa and their participation in economic life. Our target group is disadvantaged local and Syrian refugee youth between the ages of 18-30. Our focus groups will be youth who are socioeconomically disadvantaged compared to other members of society
