Mediterranea Berlin eV is an association of social promotion committed to the protection of human rights, with particular attention to migrant people and communities. It is one of the crews of Mediterranea Saving Humans, which counts 50 in Italy and Europe. Mediterranea is a platform of different initiatives of the civil society, committed to support rescue operations in central Mediterranean, after the spread of political attack and criminalization of the NGOs. Since 2018 Mediterranea Saving Humans cures valuable relationships with the main NGOs that do Search and Rescue (SAR) activity in the Mediterranean. Since 2018 Mediterranea has accomplished 13 rescue missions at sea and supports the consolidation of the civil fleet network operating in the Mediterranean Sea. Mediterranea Saving Humans, a grassroot organization, animated by the participation and support of "ground crews" in several Italian and European locations, is supported by a committee of Italian parliamentary guarantors. It also activated observation missions in the Balkans, on the Poland-Belarus border and the Safe Passage mission in Ukraine, which managed to deliver humanitarian aid and bring refugees to Italy. Main activities of Mediterranea Berlin are advocacy, fund raising, missions, communication. Some projects are jointly developed with institutions, associations, and other organizations. Our projects have different dimensions: "local, national or international", all of them being in constant evolution.
