Common Knowledge is a non-profit social enterprise based in the Burren Geopark, Co. Clare, Ireland. Our mission is to empower people with practical skills for a sustainable and regenerative future. Through hands-on learning experiences, community projects, and immersive skill-sharing courses, we reconnect individuals with traditional craftsmanship, sustainable building techniques, and ecological restoration practices.

Our Aims
• Equip individuals with the confidence and skills to live more sustainably.
• Strengthen community resilience through shared learning and collaboration.
• Restore and regenerate our 50-acre site as a model of sustainability in action.
• Provide inclusive, accessible learning opportunities for diverse groups, including youth, migrants, and marginalized communities.

Main Activities
• Skill-Sharing Courses – Covering areas such as sustainable building, permaculture, woodworking, natural crafts, and off-grid living.
• Community Engagement – Supporting local projects, meitheal-style workdays, and social inclusion initiatives.
• Eco-Restoration & Biodiversity – Conservation projects, rewilding, and peatland restoration.
• Hosting Individuals & Groups – Welcoming learners, volunteers, and like-minded organizations to engage with our site and work.

We work with a wide range of participants, including individuals seeking hands-on skills, community groups, environmental activists, young people interested in sustainability.
