Description of organisation

Emmaüs Toulouse is an association committed to the fight against social exclusion, precariousness and poverty. Since its creation in 1949, Emmaus has created another way of doing things and living together, centered on respect for the dignity and freedoms of each person. Emmaus communities embody a social alternative putting into practice the values ​​of unconditional welcome, solidarity, autonomy through activity, and sustainable development.
Emmaus Toulouse is also a major player in the prevention and reduction of waste through the collection, reuse and sale of objects. The organization fights against “disposable everything” and planned obsolescence and by promoting a circular and solidarity economy in the region.
