Description of organisation
ARACOVE is a Local Action Group for the southeast of Madrid. Its primary aim is to promote socio-economic development and improve the quality of life in its rural territory by fostering collaboration between public and private sectors. Our core activities include managing and distributing funding from regional, national, and EU programs (like LEADER) to stimulate local growth. These activities also include: - Managing the Madrid Rural Lab, a space for digital fabrication with tools like 3D printers and laser cutters that facilitates prototyping and product creation. - Providing grants and subsidies for new business and infrastructure projects. - Offering advice and technical assistance to entrepreneurs, companies, and local councils. - Delivering training courses and certificates in digital skills, tourism, and agriculture. - Promoting local resources like tourism, gastronomy, and traditional industries. Our work is directed at several key groups within our geographical area: - Users of Madrid Rural Lab, including students, residents, and "makers" who use digital fabrication to turn ideas into tangible projects. - Unemployed people (especially women and youth), for whom we offer training and job placement. - Entrepreneurs and small businesses seeking to start or expand their ventures in the rural environment. - Local councils, associations, and other non-profit entities that collaborate on rural development. - Farmers and businesses in agritourism and food processing.
- This organisation holds a European Solidarity Corps Quality Label. The Quality Label certifies that the organisation is able to run projects in compliance with the principles and objectives of the European Solidarity Corps.
