The Agrupamento de Escolas Severim de Faria (AESF) is a dynamic school group located in Évora, Portugal, serving both urban & rural communities. It includes kindergartens, primary schools, a middle school, & a secondary school (academic & vocational courses). Our student population is diverse in socioeconomic, cultural, & ethnic backgrounds, & our inclusive approach guarantees strong academic results while promoting equity and multicultural values. Out main aims are to: Provide high-quality education while fostering inclusion, responsibility & global awareness; Promote volunteering and youth participation as tools to strengthen solidarity, sustainability and community engagement at multiple levels; Create opportunities for young people to connect with Europe and gain meaningful international experiences. AESF is ready to welcome international volunteers into our school community and also to support young people from our region in volunteering projects abroad. We see volunteering as a powerful opportunity for intercultural learning, solidarity, & the development of personal & social skills that prepare young people for life & active participation in society. As a sending organization, our main target group is secondary school students, especially 12th graders, providing a valuable pre-university/pre-job experience. As hosts, we welcome motivated volunteers eager to contribute to our cultural, educational, sports, environmental, digital & creative projects.
