In a teamwork with TOTEM employees, the volunteers will plan and carry out projects and activities targeting the group of active seniors. On their own they will lead educational conversation classes of their native language or other spoken languages, and as well, within the working range of TOTEM, projects of their individual interests. The volunteers can actively participate in any educational, cultural or physical activity, as well in community clubs and various workshops in TOTEM and contribute something on their own correlating with core ideas of the organization. The organization provides cooperation in other multigenerational projects and involvement in various institutions focused on other target groups – e.g. work with disabled children, young people.

The European Voluntary Service lasts for 12 months. General working time is 35 hours per week. The volunteer receives monthly pocket money and food allowance, accommodation in the centre and a mentor as a guide for the duration of the voluntary service. The volunteer gets 25 days of vacation/a year (2-day vacation/month). Eligible applicants for this project are people at the age of 18 – 30. We reimburse the costs of travelling to Pilsen and back at the beginning and at the end of the project. As for the local transport, we provide the Pilsen Card (unlimited use).
