Volunteering in Slovakia - Youth center

Opis projektu

We are currently looking for 3 volunteers to organisation V.I.A.C.- Institut for Youth development and support, Trstena, Slovakia (Germany, european countries). Activities and tasks of volunteer: volunteer from Germany - main task - teaching german and english in the schools and help with our activities 2 next volunteers - preparation of activities: Events - different kind of events for kids, youngsters, families like Inspirative evenings, workshops, Intercultural evenings, Movie´s night, Living library, Spiritual programmes - we organize and do evangelization through retreats, worship time, adoration for young people Nonformal education - we do summer camps, school in the nature, experiental programmes for kids, youngsters Promotion of EVS - in the schools among students, in different kind of events Help with preparation big yearly events - Gospel workshop, Inspirative conference STEP, Award of volunteers, Adrenalin Race - help in community center, teaching of English

Zakwaterowanie, wyżywienie i transport

Volunteers will live together in one flat. During the working days volunteers can have lunches together with people from organization in Youth center or they can go the restaurant or cook for themselves. Volunteers will get pocket money as well as money for their food every month to their own bank account. All travel costs connected with the project are covered. Volunteers will work 5 days a week/35 hours in total. Sometimes also weekends are needed.

Szkolenia w trakcie projektu

- on-arrival training and mid-term training organized by Slovak National Agency Iuventa - online assesment centrum - support from EVS coordinator - Slovak lessons 3x per week first 2 months, then 2x per week

Profil wolontariusza

We don`t have any specific requirements - we are looking for young people who are ready to learn new things, who are open to new challenges and to new possibilities, who are open and friendly. Experience with working with children and young people is welcomed. Also at least a communicative level of English is needed. Because we are Christian catholic organization tolerance to christian values is needed and be open to help with this kind of activities as well.

We are a young, NGO that operates in the northern part of Slovakia (Orava region). Our main goal is creating conditions that allow the young person self-potential development, self-realization and fulfillment of their needs to become personalities responsible for their life and personalities, which are interested in active participation on life of local but also foreign community.
