This long term EVS project is selecting one French volunteer for "Tangram" hosting organisation (social work with asylum seekers, minors hostded in a live-in community and adults with social and physical disadvantaged) The project take place in Vicenza, an Italian city in Venice area and is involving other 3 volunteers too (already selected). The French volunteer will be included especially in the equipe working with refugees and in the one working with underaged girls hosted in a live-in community.
TranslateAccommodation, food and transport arrangements
ACCOMMODATION Volunteers will be hosted in one independent apartment placed in Vicenza city and well served by public transports. TRANSPORTS International travel is covered by EU funds up to 275€ two ways Volunteers will receive a bike to be used both for service and for personal transfers, as well as bus tickets to reach the activity seat. FOOD Volunteers will receive a monthly allowance of 140€ to be used for the personal shopping, in addition to the EU pocket money of 115€
TranslateTraining during the project
- On arrival training (1 week) - Mid term evaluation (4 days) - Italian language course - Training about social and environmental topics - Training about third sector in Italy and what being a cooperative means
TranslateVolunteer profile
Motivation to spend 1 year in a foreign country working with disadvantaged target groups. We'll prefer volunteers with high motivation to discover the social work run by the hosting organisations, with the mind open to take care about the tasks the social work implies (spend time with the beneficiaries, do practical activities with them, etc.) and with the will to adapt to the new environment. Previous experience (also of volunteering) in the social topics addressed by the project is welcome. Basics of Italian or English are needed. >>>Driving licence is also required
