Description
The Montessori day nursery "Munketal" Jena offers over 100 children, from one year to school age. The children are supervised by professional teachers and supported after the principle "Help me to do it by myself". A main axiom developed by Maria Montessori over 100 years ago, but still important until today. She founded a concept in the 20th century defined by the support and recognition of the child as a human being, with all his facets and rights. Each child will be respected as an individual Person. In addition to the Montessori-method, we are certificated as a "Movement-friendly Kindergarten". In this aim we take part of sport offers by the city of Jena and initiate our own sport events. The third key element of our kindergarden ist defined through the bilinguality "Spanish-German". In this part the spanish Volunteer got there main goal. They can bring in their culture, personality and language in our daily routine. Together with the children they will part of our community.
Gisting, fæði og ferðatilhögun
The volunteer will have a single room in a residential community with 2 other volunteers. They have a shared bathroom and a shared kitchen. At the beginning of each month the volunteer will receive pocketmoney and foodmoney. We will provide a bycicle or a monthly ticket for public transport.
Training during the activity
There will be 2 obligated trainings in different cities in the beginning and in the middle of your service. The costs are covered. There will be a short trip in the beginning, organized by the coordinating organisation together with the other volunteers from Jena.
