"Na Fir Bolg" is a three-day family oriented alternative music festival organized in the Flemish Region of Belgium. The first edition of this festival was organized in 1996, as a fundraiser for several environmental organizations Nowadays there are two stages which provide a variety of local and international alternative music. About 10,000 visitors come during the weekend to enjoy the friendly atmosphere. The spirit of the festival didn’t change with the growth. People involved are all volunteers, committed to bring an alternative to the big commercial festivals. The profits of the festival still go to environmental organizations.
Hard manual work. Volunteers will provide logistical help: setting up tents, installing water and electricity, installing fences around the festival grounds, stages, etc. During the festival: volunteers will be able to provide help and will have free time to attend the concerts and enjoy the festival! At the end of the festival: dismantling of the installations will take about 2 or 3 days. The last 3 days will be devoted to cultural visits in the region and to some cities in Belgium.
