This event is a Green Track Stop, part of the #TheGreenTrack initiative to mobilise young people in the fight to protect and restore our natural world!
About the event:
Sustainable Wardrobe for a Green Future is an event which aims to spread awareness about the negative impacts of the fashion industry and to provide people with ideas about how to become more sustainable in their choices regarding what they wear. A presentation followed by a discussion will inform people about the harmful effects of the fashion industry on the environment and provide some examples of sustainable alternatives. Workshops about mending and recycling clothes and textiles as well as revamping through simple embroidery or textile painting will show people how they can extend the life of their clothes and minimize their carbon footprint. Additionally a clothing swap will offer a way to refresh one’s wardrobe without buying new items.
