This is the first lab of a short series each regional delegation is due to host. This first lab in the Netherlands aims at bringing youth and policymakers together for shaping the future of the regional and Europan Gig Economy.

The Giggin' policy project seeks to look at the phenomenon of the Gig economy - defined as the atypical labour market of today and connect youngsters with local policymakers - to make the Gig economy an emancipatory experience rather than a precarious working dynamic.

During the event, young people have the opportunity to get inspired by role models as both young fellow entrepreneurs and giggers, and local high policymakers. Following, cross-stakeholders roundtable discussions will take place and practically consider the respective challenges they face in both being part as well as shaping the gig economy.

For these, the event gives a direct voice to students and youngsters, promotes innovative policymaking strategies for civil society engagement, and indeed tackles the crucial topic of the gig economy in Europe.
