In order to celebrate the European Year of Youth, the AIPLF organises a video competition for TY, 5th and 6th Year students of French in the Republic of Ireland, with the support of
- Ms Deirdre Clune MEP,
- H.E. Mr Vincent Guérend, Ambassador of France to Ireland,
- H.E. Ms Karen Van Vlierberge, Ambassador of Belgium to Ireland,
- Dr Emmanuelle Schön-Quinlivan, Director of the Hub in Active European Citizenship – DAB the EU (UCC).

• Participants in a group of 2, 3 or 4 students will represent their class.
They must mention in French examples of advantages of being part of the EU.
Entries will be judged on the quality of the arguments expressed by the participants and on their French pronunciation.
• This competition is only open to TY, 5th and 6th Year students who study French in the R.O.I.
• Entries must be submitted by a French teacher as a video recording (please note that teachers must retain proof of written consent from the participants' legal guardians).
• Maximum video length accepted: 3 minutes.
• The name of the file must indicate the names of the French teacher, school and county.
• The video recording must be sent by a French teacher via wetransfer.com to aiplf.ie@gmail.com
• Entries must be made specifically for this competition.
• The use of copyrighted material is not permitted.
• Deadline: 3rd December 2022.
