Be clean, Be Green!-The Marathon of Cleanliness

To celebrate the European Year of Youth, we will organize a Marathon of cleanliness in the Rediu forest, a recreation area located near the city of Botosani.
All participants will start at 9 o'clock, on 28.10.2022, the activity will be carried out on teams, each participant will be equipped with a household bag and gloves. The marathon lasts 2 hours of cleaning in the woods, on teams, at the end of the activity, the first three teams will be awarded.
Education for environmental protection has become, in many countries, a new dimension of the curriculum, with the aim of initiating and promoting a responsible attitude towards the environment, to make young people aware of the dangers of a further degradation of the environment.
The essential purpose of ecological education in young people is to form the basis of a thinking and attitude centered on promoting a natural environment conducive to life, to develop their spirit of responsibility towards nature. Through the participation of all educational factors: school, family, community and mass-media in the realization of these intentions, the child better understands the negative effects that an inappropriate behavior has on the environment.
Carrying out activities by students together with teachers, parents and other members of the community is an effective way to consciously participate and do environmental education, through which some of the problems of the environment can be solved.

Impact:
Children will come to love and protect nature.
Children and parents will become more responsible for their daily actions (not to throw papers, packaging on the floor, knowing the consequences of negative deeds).
The concretization of a good collaboration between teachers – parents – the local community, in order to form an ecological attitude in children.
Stimulating and educating children for environmental protection.
Participation of parents and local community with children in activities to solve environmental problems.
