Plastic Free Glitters Activity
European Youth Week is renowned for its festive and committed dimension. These two values are reflected in the DNA of our association Octop'us: Strasbourg's first ocean protection association! So, yes, there are no oceans in Strasbourg, and yet... 100% of plastic pollution is produced on land. 100% is also the quantity of microplastics found in the glitter that young people consume to celebrate various events throughout the year: carnival, New Year's Eve, birthdays... and yet it is possible to shine without polluting thanks to a plant-based alternative invented by two young women entrepreneurs: "sisilapaillette"! The aim of this activity is to raise awareness of the impact of cosmetics on health and the environment, while at the same time offering a fun, guilt-free workshop for the young participants at the event.
