Youth Policy Dialogue with Commissioners Kadis and Micallef
On 19 March 2026, 30 young people, selected through an open call, will have the unique opportunity to travel to Ayia Napa, Cyprus to meet with Commissioner Costas Kadis and Commissioner Glenn Micallef and discuss about the EU’s ocean governance and policies, with a focus on the following three topics:
1) blue career opportunities,
2) the future of fisheries and aquaculture, and
3) the preservation of underwater cultural heritage.
Titled “Young Voices for the Ocean,” this Youth Policy Dialogue will allow participants to share their views, concerns, and recommendations, contributing directly to shaping ocean policies in line with the European Ocean Pact.
In addition to the dialogue, the young people will have the chance to participate in a variety of engaging activities related to the topics.
