Identity, Inclusion, Intersectionality: DiscoverEU Ireland Meetup

Ireland is one of the few EU member countries which is on an island and is known for its beautiful scenery, stunning landscapes, and rich cultural heritage. It has an ever-changing diverse population and has seen many minority groups settle in the country over the years. This has led to a melting pot of language, cultures, and sense of identity. Nevertheless, it can be difficult for not just Irish young people, but also youth in other countries, to feel close to Europe.

To explore the topic of identity, both on a national and European level, we invite young people to a 3-day meet-up based in the capital city, Dublin. The meetup will focus on diversity and inclusion, intersectionality, as well as developing a sense of European identity and strengthening national identities. We hope to explore what European identity means to the young people of today, share stories and experiences, and provide an opportunity for young people to meet others travelling on DiscoverEU.

The meetup will be held from Thursday 13^th July-Saturday 15^th July 2023.  Food and Accommodation will be covered for attendees. Please note that spaces are limited. 

This event is specifically for those who plan to visit Ireland as part of their DiscoverEU travels.
