Erasmus+ Virtual Exchange will present the Project Lab “Breaking barriers: how virtual exchange fosters inclusive and global education” at the European Development Days 2019 on 18 June from 13.30 to 14:45 in room S4. 

The session will explore the potential of Virtual Exchange to foster global education, allow more young people from diverse socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds to access intercultural and international experience, and equip them with 21st century employability skills.

Panellists will discuss the results and impact of the Erasmus+ Virtual Exchange project, a pilot initiative launched in 2018 to expand the reach and scope of the Erasmus+ programme. 

The project provides an accessible and groundbreaking way for young people to engage in intercultural learning. Lessons learnt from this innovative scheme will inform the reflection on virtual exchange’s ability to advance inclusive and equitable quality education for disadvantaged youth.
